Job Title: QC Engineer – Documentation

Reporting To: Quality Manager

Job Purpose:

To ensure the quality documentation process is robust, aligned with industry standards, and supports the overall QC/QA system for CRGO production, processing, and supply. The role focuses on maintaining, updating, and auditing technical and regulatory documents related to quality systems and CRGO steel standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Documentation Management:
• Prepare, review, and maintain quality control documentation such as inspection reports, test certificates, and mill certificates.
• Ensure documentation complies with ISO, BIS, IEC, and customer-specific standards.
• Maintain traceability records for raw materials, in-process inspections, and final product quality.
• Control and update SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality Manuals.
• Quality Compliance:
• Ensure CRGO material processing and testing activities meet all applicable quality standards (e.g., IS 3024, IEC 60404).
• Maintain documentation for internal and external audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
• Coordinate with the QC lab to ensure test data (core loss, flux density, insulation resistance) is correctly documented.
• Audit & Control:
• Assist in internal audits and third-party quality audits by preparing required documentation.
• Maintain calibration records and certificates for inspection instruments.
• Customer & Vendor Coordination:
• Prepare and submit quality documentation required by clients (mill test reports, COCs, dimensional reports).
• Maintain records of customer complaints and corrective actions taken.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure material quality documentation meets requirements.
• Data Management & Reporting:
• Generate regular QC performance reports and KPIs.
• Maintain NCR (Non-Conformance Report) and CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Action) documentation.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 2–5 years in a QC documentation role, preferably in the CRGO / electrical steel or related industry.
• Knowledge of Standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IEC 60404, IS 3024, and other electrical steel specifications.
• Tools: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word), ERP systems (SAP preferred), and QMS software.
• Competencies: Attention to detail, analytical mindset, strong organizational and documentation skills, familiarity with lab testing and inspection methods for CRGO steel.

Preferred Certifications:

• ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor
• Six Sigma (Green Belt)
• NDT Level II (optional)

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
