Role Description

This is an on-site internship role for a QA Engineer Intern located in Coimbatore. The QA Engineer Intern will be responsible for executing test cases, ensuring quality assurance, conducting manual testing, and participating in software testing activities. The role involves collaborative efforts with the development team to identify and rectify issues, ensuring the final product meets high-quality standards.

*Responsibilities*

* Design, develop, and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for complex web applications and APIs.

* Perform end-to-end functional, UI/UX, usability, cross-browser, and responsive testing of enterprise web applications.

* Conduct API testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman, Swagger, or Insomnia, validating request/response payloads, headers, and error handling.

* Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test coverage.

* Perform regression, integration, smoke, and system testing for new releases.

* Validate data flows and perform database testing (SQL queries, stored procedures, data integrity checks).

* Log, track, and verify defects using Jira / Azure DevOps / Trello.

* Participate in UAT support, release validation, and production deployment verification.

* Ensure compliance with QA processes, STLC, and industry best practices.

*Required Skills*

1. Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Bug Life Cycle.

2. Hands-on experience with web application testing (functional, UI, cross-browser, responsive).

3. Practical knowledge of API testing (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, authentication, error codes).

4. Proficiency in SQL for database testing.

5. Experience in defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, etc.).

6. Solid analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

7. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
