QA Engineer

Purpose This role manages testing activities of products or solutions to ensure that the quality is compliant with standards and to meet customer requirements. Key Missions Responsibilities Include Understand requirements and contribute to test planning and estimation. Design, write, and execute manual test cases based on functional and technical specifications. Identify bugs and issues, report them clearly using a bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA). Conduct smoke, regression, integration, and functional testing. Collaborate with developers and QA team to reproduce and debug issues. Update and maintain test documentation and logs. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Learn and gradually contribute to automation efforts, if applicable. Profile & Other Information Required Skills and Qualifications: B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 1+ year of experience in software testing (manual testing preferred). Basic knowledge of QA processes, SDLC, and STLC. Experience with test case creation, execution, and defect reporting. Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA. Understanding of web/Window application testing. Understanding of web/Window service testing. Good communication and documentation skills. Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies. Basic understanding of databases and writing SQL queries Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter).
