QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in both manual and automation testing, with the ability to lead testing efforts and ensure high-quality software delivery across complex systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on testing experience, and excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for manual and automation testing.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and UAT testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or equivalent tools.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman.
• Perform defect logging, tracking, and reporting using SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, project coordinators, and product teams to ensure timely and quality releases.
• Apply SDLC and STLC best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide testing effort estimates.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and proactively identify gaps or risks.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong knowledge of SDLC & STLC.
• Manual Testing (Functional, Regression, UAT).
• Test case and scenario writing + execution.
• Bug tracking tools: SharePoint, Confluence (or similar).
• Automation testing using Playwright or equivalent frameworks.
• Basic scripting knowledge in Java/Python for automation.
• REST API testing using Postman.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• 1–3 years of experience in project coordination (added advantage).
• Proactive, quality-focused approach.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.

Good to Have

• SQL / Database testing knowledge.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
