Job Title: QA Engineer

Ctc- upto 10 Lpa (Depends on interview)

Working Days- 5 Days (9:30 am – 6:30 pm)

Location: Hyderabad

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with over 6 years of hands-on experience in testing web applications and backend services/REST APIs developed in .NET or other backend technologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of QA methodologies, and practical expertise in validating large scale enterprise applications. Exposure to electrical asset monitoring applications is preferred. Candidates with QA tool certifications are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web and backend/REST API applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
• Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar automation frameworks.
• Validate backend services, workflows, and data flow between systems.
• Analyse and troubleshoot issues by collaborating closely with development and product teams.
• Conduct database validation using SQL queries, functions, and data-driven test scenarios.
• Contribute to automation test script development (if applicable).
• Ensure all defects are tracked, documented, and reported using appropriate tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and continuous process improvements.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and help uplift overall quality practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on QA experience in web applications and backend/REST API testing.
• Strong experience in testing backend services developed in .NET or other backend technologies.
• Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.

• Ability to understand and validate functions, stored procedures, triggers, and backend data flows.
• Bachelor’s degree (B. Tech or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC, test strategies, and defect life cycles.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

Preferred / Added Advantage

• Experience in testing Electrical Asset Monitoring or related Power/Energy domain applications.
• Certifications in QA tools and testing standards (ISTQB, CSTE, or similar). • Experience in API test automation tools (e.g., Postman/Newman, Cypress API).
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.).
