Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. QA Automation Engineer to lead and enhance our automation testing initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure software quality and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design automation frameworks, analyze test results, and drive best practices in test automation. Your contributions will be crucial in maintaining high product standards and ensuring efficient software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, development, and product teams) to understand software requirements and define test strategies.
• Implement and optimize automation frameworks to support scalable and efficient test execution.
• Perform regression, performance, and integration testing to ensure software stability.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with the development team for resolution.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring testability and adherence to quality standards.
• Enhance and expand automation coverage by continuously adding new test cases.
• Work within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices in test automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in automation testing or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or C# for developing automation scripts.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, and Cucumber.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla).
• Strong ability to write and execute SQL queries for database validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, or Docker.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Rest Assured is a plus.
• Exposure to performance and security testing is an advantage.
