Job Summary:

As an Automation Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. Your role will involve collaborating with the QA team and developers to understand software requirements, designing test cases, and implementing automation frameworks. You will execute tests, analyze test results, and identify software defects. Your contribution will play a vital role in maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring the timely delivery of software products.

Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks.

· Collaborate with the QA team and developers to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test cases.

· Implement and maintain automation frameworks and infrastructure to support test automation efforts.

· Execute automated test suites and analyse test results to identify software defects, performance issues, and regressions.

· Document and track software defects, ensuring their resolution through proper defect management practices.

· Work closely with the development team to reproduce and debug reported issues.

· Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the code.

· Continuously improve the automation test suite, adding new test cases and enhancing existing ones.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software releases meet quality standards and are delivered on time.

· Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in automation testing.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· Proven work experience as an Automation Software Testing Engineer or similar role.

· Strong proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C# for developing automation scripts.

· Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Cucumber.

· Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

· Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web services (RESTful APIs).

· Familiarity with version control systems, defect tracking tools, and test management tools.

· Ability to write SQL queries for database validation and data manipulation.

· Understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.

· Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.

· Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Rest Assured is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
