Job Summary:

The Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. The role focuses on managing production lines, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and collaborating with other departments to optimize the entire production workflow for PVC, HDPE, and DWC pipes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Management:
• Supervise daily production operations, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Monitor the performance of production lines and equipment to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
• Implement production schedules, ensuring optimal use of materials, labor, and machinery.
• Process Optimization:
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, enhance productivity, and lower production costs.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain high standards in product quality.
• Analyze production data and metrics to make informed decisions on process adjustments.
• Equipment and Machinery Maintenance:
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment, including extrusion machines for PVC, HDPE, and DWC pipes, are properly maintained.
• Propose upgrades or new machinery to improve production efficiency or capacity.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all products meet industry standards and company specifications for PVC, HDPE, and DWC pipes.
• Implement and maintain quality control systems within the production process.
• Address quality issues promptly and work with the quality team to prevent recurrence.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to promote safety and minimize accidents on the production floor.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Inventory and Material Management:
• Manage raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished product inventories to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials required for production.
• Optimize the use of resources to reduce waste and improve material yield.
• Collaboration and Team Management:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality control, maintenance, logistics, and sales, to ensure smooth production flow.
• Provide technical support to production staff and operators.
• Train and mentor production staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in operating production machinery and understanding product quality standards.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to track production efficiency, downtime, and quality issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastic or pipe manufacturing industry (PVC, HDPE, DWC pipes).
• Technical Knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes for PVC, HDPE, and DWC pipes, including extrusion and molding technologies.
• Knowledge of production planning, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma techniques.
• Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing-related ERP systems.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of quality control tools and techniques.
• Proficiency in data analysis and process optimization.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
