Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Purchase Officer (Civil) with a B.Tech in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry . The ideal candidate must have expertise in the procurement of construction materials, experience working on large-scale construction projects , and a deep understanding of vendor management, cost control, and supply chain management . Key Responsibilities: Oversee the procurement of construction materials including cement, steel, aggregates, bricks, tiles, plumbing, electrical, and finishing materials. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and quality standards. Ensure timely procurement of materials in alignment with project timelines and budget constraints. Maintain a comprehensive database of suppliers and evaluate their performance based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to ensure cost-effective procurement. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry regulations. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to forecast material requirements. Prepare and analyze purchase orders, quotations, and contracts for procurement. Manage and resolve any discrepancies in orders, invoices, and deliveries . Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality. Work closely with the finance and accounts team for budgeting and payments. Ensure proper documentation and reporting for procurement activities. Key Requirements: Educational Qualification: B. Tech in Civil Engineering. Experience: Minimum 10 years as a Purchase Officer in the construction industry . Industry Experience: Must have worked on large construction projects . Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of construction material procurement and vendor management. Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, MS Office, and procurement software . Problem-Solving Ability: Quick decision-making and conflict resolution skills. Show more Show less
