Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Team Lead to manage the procurement activities for our FMCG operations. The ideal candidate will oversee a team of buyers, manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods to meet production and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the procurement team, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers for FMCG-specific materials (e.g., packaging, ingredients, logistics services).
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure maximum value and quality.
• Monitor stock levels and forecasts in coordination with production and inventory teams.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry standards.
• Implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
• Analyze market trends and competitor pricing strategies to support decision-making.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reports (purchase orders, supplier evaluations, etc.).
• Coordinate with QA, logistics, and finance for seamless supply chain management.
• Train and mentor junior purchase executives in best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within the FMCG sector.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Good understanding of sourcing and procurement techniques.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of packaging and raw material sourcing in FMCG is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
