Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:1. Procurement & Material SourcingIdentify, evaluate, and source all types of materials/equipment required by the company. Visit markets, suppliers, and vendors to check quality, negotiate pricing, and finalize orders. Compare quotations and select the most cost-effective suppliers. Ensure timely availability of all required items (raw materials, tools, consumables, office supplies, etc.). 2. Vendor ManagementMaintain a strong vendor network and develop new supplier relationships. Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, delivery time, and service. Coordinate with vendors for order follow-up, delivery status, and issue resolution. 3. Field WorkConduct regular field visits for price checks, material verification, and supplier meetings. Inspect material quality before dispatch or after receipt. Handle urgent purchase requirements and deliver materials to site/office when required. 4. Office Work & DocumentationPrepare purchase orders (POs) and maintain complete purchase documentation. Update records in ERP / Excel / purchase register. Coordinate with Accounts for payments and GRN (Goods Receipt Note). Maintain updated price lists, vendor lists, and stock reports. 5. Inventory CoordinationWork with the store/warehouse team to check stock levels. Plan purchases based on stock requirements to avoid shortages. Ensure proper inward/outward material documentation. 6. Cost ControlNegotiate with vendors to achieve the best rates. Control purchase costs without compromising quality. Monitor market trends and update management on price changes. 7. Communication & CoordinationWork with all departments (production, admin, operations, HR, maintenance) to understand their requirements. Ensure smooth coordination between field vendors and office teams. Handle urgent and priority purchase requests immediately.
