Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives.

Source and evaluate suppliers/vendors based on price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, and selection.

Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors and manage contract execution.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.

Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to ensure inventory availability.

Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Production, Inventory, Finance) to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement.

Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about pricing trends and supply availability.

Ensure compliance with company policies and legal guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven work experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Officer, or similar role (typically 5+ years).

Solid knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience in collecting and analyzing data.

Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office (especially Excel).

Professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM, or CIPS) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., , Oracle, Tally, etc.)

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.84 - ₹800,000.38 per month
