Purpose - The Purchase and Store Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and managing inventory effectively, thereby supporting uninterrupted operations and minimizing costs. · Job title - Manager-Purchase & Store · Department - Purchase and Store · Reporting to - General Manager · Summary of the role – The Purchase and Store Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement and inventory functions. This includes planning purchases, sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, maintaining optimum stock levels, and ensuring efficient storage and issuance of materials. The role requires strong coordination with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective material availability in compliance with company policies. Key duties · Procurement Planning & Execution · Inventory & Store Management · Vendor Management · Cost Optimization · Documentation & Compliance · Reporting & Analysis Key Expectations · Ensure timely procurement and uninterrupted material availability. · Maintain accurate and transparent documentation of purchases and stock. · Optimize inventory turnover and reduce waste. · Adhere to procurement policies and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. · Establish clear communication and coordination across departments. Required qualifications and skills · Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field. · 6-10 years of experience in purchase and store management, preferably in manufacturing, export/import industry. · Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. · Proficient in inventory management systems (ERP/SAP/Tally etc.). · Analytical mindset with attention to detail and cost-conscious approach. · Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities.
