Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager - Procurement/Purchase will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services essential for real estate projects. The role requires ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality assurance, and timely delivery while maintaining vendor relationships and compliance with company policies.


Key Responsibilities:

1.

I. Identify and source construction materials, equipment, and services.

II. Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.

III. Conduct market research to identify cost-effective and high-quality procurement options.


2. Negotiation & Cost Control:

I. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.

II. Monitor and analyze procurement expenses to optimize cost efficiency.

III. Develop cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality and project timelines.


3. Vendor Management:

I. Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and compliance with regulations.

II. Monitor supplier performance and address issues to maintain service standards.

III. Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and performance evaluations.


4. Inventory & Logistics Management:

I. Coordinate with project teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials.

II. Oversee inventory levels and maintain an efficient supply chain.

III. Ensure proper storage and handling of materials in compliance with safety standards.


5. Compliance & Documentation:

I. Ensure procurement activities comply with legal and company policies.

II. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and approvals.

III. Assist in audits and ensure transparency in procurement processes.


6. Collaboration & Reporting:

I. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to align procurement with project needs.

II. Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.

III. Assist in developing procurement strategies and policies.


Qualifications & Skills:


I. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

II. 5+ years of procurement experience in the real estate/construction industry.

III. Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.

IV. Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and cost control.

V. Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.

VI. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

VII. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

VIII. Preferred Certifications:

IX. Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.

X. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is an added advantage.
