Purchase Executive – Job Description

Position Overview:
The Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing procurement activities, sourcing reliable vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices. This role requires strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills to support the company’s operational and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery terms.
• Negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms with vendors.
• Process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse/production team for timely replenishment.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues related to delays or quality.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new product developments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement guidelines.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Vendor management and relationship-building ability.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or procurement software.
• Attention to detail and time management.

Qualification & Experience:

• 12th Pass
• 1–3 years of experience in procurement/purchasing (freshers with good skills can also be considered).

Knowledge of MS Excel is compulsory.
