Job Title: Purchase & Billing Engineer – ELV Systems

Job Summary:

The Purchase & Billing Engineer is responsible for managing material procurement, vendor coordination, and client billing for ELV projects. The role ensures timely availability of project materials, cost control, and accurate preparation of work progress and billing documentation in line with project timelines and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:1. Procurement & Material Management

• Identify and evaluate suppliers for ELV materials such as CCTV, access control, fire alarm, PA, BMS, data, and networking components.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials at project sites.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Maintain records of purchase orders, quotations, and delivery challans.
• Coordinate with the design and project teams for material specifications and BOQs.
• Track inventory levels and ensure material reconciliation for each project.

2. Billing & Documentation

• Prepare client and subcontractor bills based on work progress and BOQ quantities.
• Verify site measurements and ensure accurate billing as per project scope.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for certification of work done.
• Prepare running account (RA) bills, final bills, and change order documentation.
• Maintain all billing-related records and ensure alignment with company and client standards.

3. Cost Control & Reporting

• Monitor procurement budgets and ensure adherence to cost control measures.
• Compare estimated vs. actual material consumption and cost.
• Prepare periodic reports on purchase status, billing progress, and financial summary.

4. Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and finance teams for timely payments.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project documentation standards.
• Support internal and external audits related to purchase and billing functions.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of ELV systems (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA, etc.)
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation, material take-offs, and cost estimation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Tally and ERP software (preferred).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with good analytical and documentation abilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering (or related field).
• 2–5 years of experience in Purchase and/or Billing within the ELV or MEP industry.

• Accuracy of purchase and billing documentation.
• Vendor cost savings and negotiation efficiency.
• Billing cycle turnaround time.
• Compliance with project and client requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
