Role Objective

To lead and manage proposal activities for the mechanical scope ofEthanol Plant EPC projects, ensuring accurate techno-commercial submissionsthat are competitive, compliant, and aligned with client expectations. The rolerequires strong technical knowledge of ethanol process plants, cross-functionalcoordination, and commercial acumen to support business acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

Bid Management & Proposal Engineering

• Review and analyze tender documents, technical specifications, scope of work, and contractual conditions specific to Ethanol Plants.
• Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals covering static and rotary equipment, piping, tanks, and allied mechanical packages for ethanol production facilities.
• Define project assumptions, identify risks, and highlight deviations while ensuring compliance with client and industry standards.

Technical & Costing Expertise

• Develop cost estimation models using internal data, vendor inputs, and benchmarks from similar ethanol/chemical process plant projects.
• Validate supplier and subcontractor quotations for process equipment (fermenters, distillation columns, evaporators, boilers, etc.) and site works.
• Ensure proposals comply with relevant codes (ASME, IS, API) and ethanol plant-specific standards.

Coordination & Interface

• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project execution, finance, and legal teams for timely and accurate bid preparation.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical clarifications, price negotiations, and alignment of scope.
• Support planning team in defining execution timelines, resource loading, and site mobilization plans for costing.

Client Interaction & Support

• Represent the company in pre-bid meetings, technical discussions, and bid clarifications with clients.
• Present and defend proposals during internal management reviews and external customer interactions.
• Provide technical support during contract negotiations and project handover to execution teams.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of ethanol production process and associated mechanical systems.
• Expertise in proposal engineering, cost estimation, and bid management for EPC projects.
• Familiarity with vendors and contractors in the ethanol and process plant industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-handling skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
