Proposal Engineer

• Study client URS, HVAC specifications, GA drawings, and BOQs for pharma, hospital, and cleanroom projects.
• Design and size custom-built wide-area AHUs, including airflow calculations, static pressure, coil selection, fan selection, filtration stages, and heat recovery systems.
• Select components such as fans, motors, filters (G4–F9–HEPA), coils, dampers, silencers, VFDs, humidifiers, and control valves.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, WHO, USFDA, EU-GMP, and cleanroom standards (ISO 14644).
• Prepare technical datasheets, GA drawings, airflow schematics, and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate with design, controls, production, and QA teams for feasibility and optimization.

Commercial Responsibilities

• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, including scope of supply, exclusions, pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
• Costing of custom AHUs, considering materials, bought-out items, manufacturing, testing, packing, and logistics.
• Handle technical deviations, clarifications, and value engineering during tendering.
• Support negotiation and finalization of orders with the sales team.

Project & Coordination

• Participate in kick-off meetings post order to ensure proper handover to execution teams.
• Support drawing approvals, FAT documentation, and client technical queries during execution.
• Interface with consultants, EPC contractors, pharma clients, and end users.

Key Skills & Competencies Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems for pharma & cleanrooms.
• Expertise in custom AHU design, air distribution, pressurization, and contamination control.
• Understanding of thermal calculations, psychrometrics, and energy-efficient HVAC solutions.
• Familiarity with materials of construction (GI, PPGI, SS 304/316, insulation).
• Knowledge of BMS integration and control philosophies.

Qualification & Experience

• B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 2–8 years experience in HVAC proposal engineering, preferably in pharma, healthcare, or cleanroom projects
• Experience with custom-built AHUs is mandatory
