Purchase Engineer

Job Description

Understand electrical component requirements from design/project teams. Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotations) and float inquiries to suppliers. Evaluate technical and commercial aspects of supplier quotations. Issue purchase orders and monitor deliveries. Identify and develop new suppliers for electrical components, panels, control systems, cables, sensors, PLCs, etc. Maintain good relationships with vendors for favorable pricing and service terms. Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery parameters. Negotiate with suppliers for better pricing and credit terms. Analyze cost trends and suggest strategies for cost reduction. Coordinate with project, design, and engineering teams to clarify specifications. Ensure procured items meet required quality and technical standards. Maintain procurement records, delivery schedules, and supplier contracts. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.
