Description
Electrical Design & Drafting: Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). Design power and control circuits for PLC-based control systems. Ensure adherence to relevant electrical and safety standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL, IS). Component Selection: Select electrical components such as PLCs, HMIs, relays, contactors, MCBs, VFDs, SMPS, terminal blocks, etc. Coordinate with the purchase team for BOM preparation and supplier specifications. Panel Design & BOM Preparation: Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) with specifications and quantities. Design control panel general arrangement (GA), internal wiring layout, and terminal schedules. Provide support for panel manufacturing, assembly, and testing. Coordination & Support: Collaborate with the project and automation teams to ensure alignment with project requirements. Provide technical support during panel manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases. Review and implement changes based on client/site feedback. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Conduct design validations and ensure quality documentation is maintained. Required Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of electrical control system design, especially in automation projects. Proficiency in electrical design software like AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar. Good understanding of industrial automation components (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, sensors, etc.). Familiarity with standards like IEC, UL, IS, and CE. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work within deadlines. Basic knowledge of PLC programming and field instrumentation is a plus.
