Proposal Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare

  technical and commercial proposals

  for ETP, STP, and WTP projects in line with client requirements and tender specifications.
• Develop

  process designs

  and review

  P&IDs, HFDs, layouts

  , and other engineering drawings.
• Prepare

  IMS designs

  ,

  adequacy reports

  for STP & ETP, and process justifications.
• Perform

  costing and estimation

  , including BOQs, equipment sizing, and pricing using MS Excel.
• Prepare and review

  technical documents

  such as data sheets, compliance statements, O&M manuals, and tender documentation.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, procurement, and sales teams to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
• Manage multiple proposals simultaneously while adhering to strict timelines and submission deadlines.
• Provide technical clarifications and support during pre-bid and post-bid discussions with clients.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of proposals and drawings.

Core Technical Skills Required

• ETP / STP / WTP Expertise:

  Strong knowledge of treatment processes including

  RO, MBR, SBR, MBBR, ASP, UASBR, ZLD

  , and related technologies.

• Design Skills:

  Ability to read, interpret, and develop

  P&IDs, HFDs, layouts

  , and process design calculations.

• Software Proficiency:

  MS Office (advanced Excel for costing),

  AutoCAD

  ; knowledge of simulation tools is an added advantage.

• Documentation:

  Experience in preparing

  BOQs, data sheets, O&M manuals

  , tender documents, and compliance reports.

• Proposal Writing:

  Strong capability in drafting clear and professional technical & commercial proposals, reports, and presentations.

• Costing & Estimation:

  Ability to develop accurate and competitive project cost estimates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in

  Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering

  , or a related discipline.

• 3 - 6 years of relevant experience

  in proposal engineering, design, or estimation for

  water and wastewater treatment projects

  .
• Hands-on experience in handling proposals for industrial and municipal projects will be preferred.
