Prompt Engineer

We are seeking an exceptionally talented Prompt Engineer to join our AI and Digital Innovation team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of how we interact with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of natural language processing, prompt design, and AI model behavior, and will play a key role in building scalable, intelligent solutions that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

As a Prompt Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing prompts that drive high-quality outputs from AI models. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to integrate prompt-based solutions into real-world applications. You will also contribute to the development of prompt libraries, evaluation frameworks, and best practices for prompt engineering.

- Design, develop, and refine prompts to optimize performance of LLMs across various use cases

- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate prompt-based solutions into production systems

- Conduct prompt evaluations using both automated metrics and human feedback

- Build reusable prompt templates and maintain a prompt library for internal use

- Analyze model behavior and identify opportunities for prompt tuning and improvement

- Stay current with advancements in generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering techniques

- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into prompt-driven solutions

- Contribute to the development of internal tools for prompt testing, versioning, and performance tracking

- 5+ years of experience in NLP, machine learning, or related fields

- 2+ years of hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, AI, or a related technical field

- Strong understanding of LLM architectures (e.g., GPT, Claude, PaLM) and their capabilities/limitations

- Experience with prompt tuning, few-shot learning, and chain-of-thought prompting

- Familiarity with tools like LangChain, OpenAI API, Hugging Face Transformers, etc.

- Proven ability to work with ambiguous requirements and deliver high-impact solutions

- Excellent communication skills to explain complex AI behavior to non-technical stakeholders

- Experience in building conversational agents or AI copilots

- Knowledge of evaluation metrics for generative models

- Exposure to reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF)

- Experience with A/B testing and user feedback loops for prompt optimization

- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
