Position Overview

Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Implementation

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of water management and conservation projects.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines aligned with JBF’s strategic objectives.
  • Supervise project teams and ensure timely and effective execution of all activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and donor guidelines.

Community Engagement & Capacity Building

  • Foster active community participation in water resource management initiatives.
  • Design and conduct awareness programs and training on sustainable water practices.
  • Strengthen local governance structures, self-help groups, and community-based organizations.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Establish and manage M&E frameworks to track project performance and impact.
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess progress, challenges, and outcomes.
  • Prepare periodic reports, case studies, and documentation of best practices.

Stakeholder & Partner Coordination

  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with

    government agencies, NGOs, donors, and community institutions

    .
  • Support proposal development, fundraising, and donor reporting activities.
  • Represent JBF in stakeholder meetings, workshops, and public forums.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Master’s degree in

    Social Work, Rural Development, Environmental Science, Water Resource Management

    , or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience

    in project management, preferably in

    water conservation, rural development, or community-based programs

    .
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing multi-stakeholder development projects.

Skills:

  • Strong project management, planning, and execution abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in

    MS Office

    , project documentation, and data analysis.
  • Fluency in

    Hindi and English

    (knowledge of local dialects preferred).
  • Willingness to

    travel extensively

    to rural project sites.
