Job Description

A Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process of media content, from pre-production through post-production. This includes managing the creative, technical, and logistical aspects of the project, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the quality standards set by the stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning:

  • Develop detailed production schedules, including timelines for scripting, filming, editing, and post-production.
  • Identify potential risks in the production process (e.g., talent availability, location permits) and develop strategies to address them.
  • Develop and define the scope, objectives, and deliverables for each project.
  • Create detailed project plans that outline tasks, timelines, resources, and budgets.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead project teams by assigning tasks, setting expectations, and fostering collaboration.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure everyone understands the project’s goals, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Inspire and motivate the team to maintain a high level of morale and productivity throughout the project.
  • Ensure team members have the necessary skills, resources, and training to perform their tasks.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, addressing any concerns or challenges.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate resources effectively, ensuring that team members, equipment, and budget are appropriately distributed.
  • Monitor resource usage to ensure that the project remains on track without exceeding the allocated resources.
  • Manage any constraints related to the availability of resources and adjust plans accordingly.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks (technical, financial, operational, etc.) at the start of the project and continuously throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of potential issues.
  • Establish a process for monitoring risks and adjusting the plan when new risks are identified.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor all stages of production, from pre-production to post-production, to ensure the project is progressing as planned.
  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders on key milestones such as script approval, shooting schedule, rough cuts, and final delivery.
  • Keep track of expenses throughout the production, ensuring that the project remains within the allocated budget.
  • Track the quality of the project, ensuring that it meets or exceeds stakeholder expectations at every phase.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all creative elements of the production (scripts, direction, cinematography, editing) adhere to the original vision and objectives.
  • Oversee the editing and post-production process, ensuring that all edits, sound design, special effects, and other post-production elements meet the required standards.
  • Verify that the final product meets the required technical specifications (resolution, audio quality, format) for distribution or broadcast.
  • Facilitate client reviews and feedback sessions, ensuring that any revisions or adjustments are addressed and incorporated.

Project Closure:

  • Oversee the final stages of post-production, ensuring the project is polished and ready for distribution.
  • Ensure the project is reviewed and approved by all key stakeholders before it is delivered or broadcast.
  • Ensure that all production materials, contracts, and approvals are properly documented and archived for future reference.
  • Deliver the final media product to the client and ensure that all legal and contractual obligations are met.
  • Conduct a post-project evaluation with the team to identify lessons learned, successes, and areas for improvement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Project Timeliness: Ensure projects meet deadlines across all production stages.
  • Budget Compliance: Track and control costs to stay within the allocated budget.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Measure client and team satisfaction with project execution.
  • Production Quality: Ensure final deliverables meet required creative and technical standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify, mitigate, and resolve production risks effectively.
  • Team Productivity: Monitor crew efficiency and adherence to production schedules.
  • Issue Resolution: Assess response time in handling unexpected production challenges.
  • Project Success Rate: Track the percentage of projects delivered on time and on budget.
  • Client Retention: Measure repeat business and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years in project/production management.
  • Proficient in project management tools and media production workflows.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Budgeting, scheduling, and resource management expertise.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
