Production Supervisor

A production supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations by managing staff, optimizing workflow, enforcing quality and safety standards, and troubleshooting production issues to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality product output. Key duties include scheduling production, allocating resources, training employees, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with other departments to meet production targets and implement process improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Staff: Manage, coach, and train production staff, delegating tasks and evaluating performance to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
• Manage Production Schedules: Develop and implement detailed schedules, adjust them as needed to meet demand, and establish priorities to ensure timely completion of production plans.
• Ensure Quality Control: Implement and enforce production standards and quality control procedures to meet customer specifications and ensure product quality.
• Maintain Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and federal and local production guidelines, maintaining a safe work environment.
• Monitor & Maintain Equipment: Oversee the operation and maintenance of production equipment, calling for repairs and evaluating new techniques to prevent downtime.
• Resource & Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the flow of materials and supplies to ensure smooth operations and meet production needs.
• Troubleshoot & Problem Solve: Identify and address issues, malfunctions, or bottlenecks in the production process and implement corrective actions to restore workflow efficiently.
• Process Improvement: Analyze production data and reports to identify areas for improvement, develop strategies to increase efficiency and productivity, and foster a spirit of cooperation within departments.
