The Production Merchandiser is responsible for managing the end-to-end production process, ensuring that products are manufactured according to quality standards, within budget, and on schedule. This role acts serves as an intermediary between the production team, suppliers, and the merchandising department to streamline production and meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Coordination:

• Collaborate with design, merchandising, and production teams to plan production schedules.
• Monitor order status and ensure timelines are met.
• Coordinate raw material procurement and availability to avoid production delays.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Conduct regular follow-ups and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Evaluate vendor performance for quality, cost, and timeliness.

Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure products meet company quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and resolve production issues promptly.
• Maintain records of production samples, approvals, and quality checks.

Cost & Inventory Control:

• Track production costs and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare and submit regular production reports to management.
• Maintain documentation related to production schedules, orders, and approvals.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good understanding of garment/textile/fashion production processes.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in production merchandising or related.
• Experience working with suppliers, vendors, and production teams.
