ECommerce Content Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

The E-Commerce Content Manager is responsible for catalogue management and optimizing the website, ensuring that information, images, categories, collections, and website content are accurate, complete, consistent, and uploaded on time. This role sits at the center of the e-commerce engine: coordinating with merchandising, design, photography, marketing, and inventory teams to keep Saundh’s Shopify website fresh, error-free, and optimized for conversion.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, extremely organized, comfortable working with large product catalogs, and experienced with fashion/lifestyle e-commerce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Product & Catalog Management

• Upload all new products to the website with correct information: titles, descriptions, fabric info, pricing, variants, color swatches, inventory levels, SKU codes.
• Ensure product photos and videos are uploaded in correct order with consistent naming and formatting.
• Audit existing products to identify incorrect or missing info (wrong swatches, size charts, mismatched photos, missing model details, etc.) and fix them immediately.
• Maintain accurate stock visibility on the site, including hiding OOS products or marking them correctly.

2. Collection & Category Management

• Create and update collections such as Festive Edit, Wedding Edit, New Arrivals, Bestsellers, Menswear, Under ₹X, etc.
• Coordinate with merchandising to update seasonal collections, drops, and special campaigns.
• Ensure SEO-friendly tagging so products appear correctly under filters (e.g., color, size, style, fabric).

3. PDP (Product Detail Page) Quality Control

• Add and maintain model information (height, size worn).
• Ensure PDP videos, zoomed images, and fabric-detail shots are consistently uploaded.
• Add trust signals (size guides, shipping info, refund policies, urgency tags).
• Review PDPs regularly to identify mistakes affecting conversion.

4. Content Coordination & Workflow

• Work with photographers, editors, and designers to receive final product media on time.
• Coordinate with the inventory team to reflect restocks, new SKUs, and discontinue styles accurately.
• Liaise with the marketing team to support campaigns with new landing pages, homepage banners, and product blocks.

5. Shopify & Website Maintenance

• Manage all backend updates using Shopify (no developer needed).
• Maintain correct navigation menus, homepage sections, and promotional banners.
• Ensure discount codes, pricing updates, and seasonal offers reflect correctly.

6. Data Hygiene & Reporting

• Maintain master sheets for product attributes, sizing, collections, and metadata.
• Provide weekly reports on catalog errors, updates completed, restock needs, and new content readiness.
• Monitor return reasons related to product misinformation and fix root causes.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5+ years of experience in e-commerce catalog/content management (fashion experience preferred).
• Deep familiarity with Shopify Admin, product uploads, variants, metafields, and collection rules.
• High attention to detail
• Ability to manage large volumes of SKUs under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and coordination skills across departments.
• Basic understanding of SEO (meta titles, alt text, URL hygiene).
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Bonus: Basic image editing skills (Photoshop/Canva).
