Job Title: Production Manager Company: Rio Clays Pvt. Ltd. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee end-to-end production activities. Role Summary: The Production Manager will be responsible for the planning, supervision, and optimization of all production processes—from raw material preparation to finished product handling. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of thermal and chemical process systems , strong leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to compliance and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily plant operations, including process equipment such as kilns, coolers, dryers, mixers, filters, agitators , and chemical dosing systems . Monitor and control key production parameters such as temperature, feed rate, slurry quality, pH, moisture content , and energy efficiency . Plan and coordinate with maintenance and quality teams for preventive/predictive maintenance , ensuring minimal downtime and consistent product quality. Lead production planning, inventory control , and resource allocation to meet output targets. Drive process improvements , optimize material and energy usage, and implement cost-control strategies. Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards, and support internal and external audits . Maintain detailed records and reports related to production performance, process deviations, and corrective actions. Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with EHS standards and conducting regular safety training. Lead and mentor production teams, conduct performance evaluations, and promote skill development. Candidate Profile: Degree or Diploma in Chemical / Mechanical / Production Engineering . Minimum 8 years of experience in process-based industries such as clay, cement, or chemicals. Proven expertise in managing thermal and chemical processing equipment . Strong understanding of refractory systems, slurry handling, drying and calcination , and process automation (SCADA/PLC) . Demonstrated experience with ISO audits, SOP creation , and EHS compliance . Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operations simultaneously. Work Location: Rio Clays Pvt. Ltd.
