The Role: The Production Manager- is responsible for managing pharmaceutical and Cosmetics manufacturing operations, ensuring timely production while adhering to GMP, FDA, and drug regulatory compliance. The role involves production planning, batch execution, manpower supervision, and process optimization. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning & Execution Develop and implement weekly/monthly production schedules for both cosmetic and pharmaceutical product lines based on demand forecasts. Oversee batch manufacturing processes in alignment with company SOPs and regulatory guidelines. Coordinate closely with Production Supervisors to ensure smooth execution of batch operations across both verticals. 2. Quality & Regulatory Compliance Ensure strict compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO 9001:2015, FDA, WHO-GMP, and Drug Control regulations. Work collaboratively with QA and QC teams to maintain consistent product quality standards. Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) for any deviations and maintain all regulatory documentation. 3. Team Leadership & Supervision Lead and manage Production Supervisors – Cosmetics and Pharma – along with Packing and Dispatch teams. Guide and train Senior Production Chemists and Production Chemists on formulation techniques, batch processing, and documentation protocols. Foster team development, enhance cross-functional coordination, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 4. Inventory & Resource Management Ensure timely availability of raw materials, APIs, excipients, and packaging materials by coordinating with the procurement and warehouse teams. Track material consumption, optimize manpower utilization, and ensure efficient use of machinery and production assets. Maintain batch manufacturing records, SOPs, and operational logs in compliance with company and regulatory requirements. 5. Process Optimization & Efficiency Identify areas for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement across both cosmetic and pharma production lines. Monitor and optimize machine usage, reduce production downtime, and improve overall workflow and resource planning. Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to ensure uninterrupted operations. 6. Safety, Hygiene & Compliance Enforce EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) protocols across all production units. Ensure hygiene standards are met in both Pharma and cosmetic facilities. Conduct regular internal audits, address non-conformities, and ensure plant compliance with industry and government safety regulations. Required qualification and skills: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc. / B.Tech in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related fields. 4-5 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, and Pharma regulatory standards. Experience in managing pharmaceutical or cosmetic batch production and compliance. Leadership and team management skills. Problem-solving, planning, and coordination abilities. Good communication and reporting skills.
