Description
The Production Manager in Outhouse is responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from design approval to final delivery, ensuring that each piece meets the brand’s high standards of quality, craftsmanship, and timely delivery. This role involves managing relationships with designers, craftsmen, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver bespoke and collection pieces that exceed customer expectations. Key Responsibilities  Manage and control the critical path of new samples, including technical details, feedback, costings, and deadline management.  Oversee the end-to-end production process, ensuring all deadlines are met and production calendars are coordinated.  Work closely with workshops and craftsmen to develop high-quality products, optimizing costs while maintaining luxury standards.  Conduct quality checks at various stages to ensure excellence and consistency between products.  Partner with the quality control team to propose improvements and resolve production issues.  Maintain and update technical sheets, product design databases, and archives of models and technical files.  Manage inventory and production records, including tracking materials, consumables, and finished products.  Ensure adherence to brand guidelines on all manufactured jewellery.  Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of components and finished goods.  Manage special orders, including quotations, deadlines, and client communications.  Motivate and manage production staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.  Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards and promote continuous improvement. Candidate Profile  Minimum 8 years of experience in production or product development within the jewellery industry, preferably luxury or fine jewellery.  Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing techniques, materials, and craftsmanship.  Excellent organizational, project management skills.  Strict attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.  Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.  Proactive, agile, and results-oriented, with a drive for continuous improvement.  Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build relationships across departments and with external partners.  Experience with technical documentation, costing, and inventory systems is an advantage45.
