Production Manager – Deep Tech Manufacturing

Our Company is an emerging technology company specializing in the design and manufacturing of advanced 3D printers and laser systems. We have recently signed a technology transfer agreement for the development of a micro 3D printer, and are expanding into laser manufacturing for applications in medical, welding, and 3D printing domains. Our mission is to transform innovative lab-scale technologies into reliable, scalable production systems.

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Production Manager who can bridge the gap between R&D and manufacturing, taking deep-tech products from prototype to production.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with hands-on experience in electronic controller manufacturing, manipulator and laser system design, or special-purpose machine (SPM) development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the transition of products from lab prototypes to reliable, manufacturable systems.

Plan, set up, and optimize production processes for low-volume, high-tech products (such as DED metal 3D printers, scanners, and laser systems).

Develop and manage vendor networks and supply chains for precision components and specialized subsystems.

Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and performance alignment.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design, assembly, testing, and reliability.

Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and quality standards in manufacturing.

Oversee production schedules, resource allocation, and cost optimization.

Mentor and guide technicians and engineers in manufacturing best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.

7–10 years of experience in product manufacturing, design, or production management in a high-tech or special-purpose machinery environment.

Strong knowledge of precision manufacturing processes, component sourcing, and vendor development.

Familiarity with CAD tools, testing instruments, and manufacturing documentation.

Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to thrive in an innovation-driven, cross-functional team environment.
