Job Description

Position Overview:

The Production Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Cake World’s production facility, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and timely output of bakery and confectionery products. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and quality control skills to maintain production standards, optimize resources, and meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and manage the production process to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  • Supervise and lead the production team, assigning tasks and ensuring compliance with SOPs.
  • Monitor raw material usage, wastage, and inventory control in coordination with the purchase and stores department.
  • Implement and maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (FSSAI/HACCP guidelines).
  • Ensure machines, ovens, and other equipment are properly maintained and report breakdowns promptly.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control, R&D, and Logistics teams to ensure product consistency and timely dispatch.
  • Train and motivate production staff to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Prepare and analyze production reports, identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
  • Manage manpower scheduling, leave planning, and shift allocations for smooth production flow.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Food Technology, Hotel Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in food & beverage production management (bakery, confectionery, or FMCG preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of bakery production processes, raw materials, and equipment handling.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of quality standards, hygiene protocols, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with ERP/production management software.

  • Achievement of production targets with minimal wastage.
  • Compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Reduction in production errors and rejections.
  • Equipment uptime and preventive maintenance adherence.
  • Manpower productivity and team performance.
  • Cost efficiency and raw material utilization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
