The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process for our line of handcrafted home decor products. This includes planning, organising, and directing all production activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products that meet customer demands and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
● Production Planning & Scheduling:
○ Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring timely completion
of orders and adherence to deadlines.
○ Forecast production needs based on sales forecasts and customer orders.
○ Allocate resources effectively, including raw materials, labor, and equipment, to optimise production efficiency.
● Production Oversight:
○ Monitor all stages of the production process, from raw material procurement to
finished goods.
○ Ensure adherence to quality control standards and identify and resolve
production issues promptly.
○ Supervise and guide production teams, including artisans, craftsmen, and
production assistants.
○ Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
● Quality Control:
○ Implement and maintain a robust quality control system, including regular
inspections and testing.
○ Identify and address quality issues promptly and effectively.
○ Ensure product consistency and adherence to design specifications.
● Inventory Management:
○ Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
○ Minimise waste and optimise inventory turnover.
● Team Leadership & Development:
○ Train and mentor production team members on best practices, safety
procedures, and new techniques.
○ Motivate and inspire the production team to achieve high levels of performance.
○ Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
○ Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
● Continuous Improvement:
○ Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to
increase efficiency and productivity.
○ Explore and implement new technologies and techniques to enhance production
capabilities.
○ Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
● Cost Control:
○ Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
○ Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices for raw materials.
● Safety & Compliance:
○ Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
○ Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
