Production Head

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Head to oversee and manage the entire production operations of our bag manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in bag production processes, including knowledge of materials, cutting, stitching, assembly, quality control, and production planning. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of manufacturing practices, lean production, and team management to ensure on-time delivery, product quality, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily production operations to ensure achievement of production targets (quantity, quality, timelines).
• Plan and implement production schedules, workflows, and resource allocation (manpower, machinery, and materials).
• Ensure optimal utilization of equipment, labor, and materials to meet production goals.
• Supervise and coordinate all production floor activities, including cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing.
• Monitor production metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain stringent quality control standards and ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal QC norms.
• Coordinate with design, sourcing, merchandising, and streamline the production process.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks or issues in the production line quickly and efficiently.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Lead, train, and mentor production team members including supervisors and line workers.
• Track production costs and work towards improving cost-efficiency and reducing wastage.
• Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in bag manufacturing, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of bag manufacturing processes – especially materials (fabric, PU, zippers, accessories), cutting, sewing, assembly, and finishing.
• Familiarity with industrial machines used in bag production (e.g., flat-bed, post-bed, cylinder-bed sewing machines).
• Proficiency in using production planning tools, Excel, and ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of compliance, safety, and quality standards in the manufacturing industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
