Production Head

Position Overview

The Production Head will be responsible for managing end-to-end production operations of the Lighting Division, ensuring output meets Quality, Delivery, Cost, Safety & Productivity targets (QDCSP). The role demands strong knowledge of automotive lighting processes, manpower handling, IATF standards, and continuous improvement tools.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Production Planning & Control

• Plan, schedule, and execute daily/weekly/monthly production targets.
• Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower & materials.
• Monitor WIP, inventory levels, and achieve 100% adherence to production plan.

2. Quality & IATF Compliance

• Ensure production processes comply with IATF 16949 & ISO requirements.
• Implement & monitor process controls, Poka-Yoke, SOP adherence, WI, CP, PFMEA.
• Coordinate with Quality team for defect reduction, in-process quality, and customer complaints.

3. Team Management

• Lead, guide & monitor supervisors, line leaders, and production operators.
• Conduct daily production meetings & review performance.
• Ensure adequate training for team on 5S, Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

4. Process Improvement & Lean Practices

• Implement Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, SMED, Standard Work, and cycle-time improvement.
• Reduce rejection, rework, and downtime through root cause analysis.
• Achieve continual improvement in OEE, productivity & cost savings.

5. Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Stores & Tool Room for smooth operations.
• Liaison with Management for daily & monthly MIS reports.
• Support NPD team during proto builds, trials, and SOP.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to safety standards, PPE usage & safe work environment.
• Conduct safety audits and eliminate unsafe conditions.

• Production planning vs actual (PPA)
• OEE improvement
• In-process rejection & rework reduction
• On-time delivery (OTD)
• Manpower efficiency & skill utilization
• IATF audit compliance (0 major non-conformance)
• Cost saving through lean & Kaizen initiatives
• Customer complaint reduction

Qualifications :

• B.E./Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical/Production.
• 5–10 years experience in Automotive Lighting / Plastic Molding / Assembly.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, 5S, Lean, QMS tools.
• Leadership & people management skills.
• Knowledge of Injection Molding, Ultrasonic Welding, PCB fitting (if applicable), Assembly line processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
