Production Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Production Engineer to manage and improve the production process of LT/HT panels, control panels, and distribution boards. The role involves supervising assembly teams, ensuring quality standards, maintaining production timelines, and optimizing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Execution: Prepare daily/weekly production plans based on orders and available resources. Allocate tasks to technicians and panel wiremen as per job cards. Ensure timely assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical panels. Maintain discipline and productivity on the shop floor. Process Monitoring & Improvement: Monitor production KPIs such as cycle time, output rate, and rejection percentage. Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements to optimize efficiency. Coordinate with the design and quality teams to resolve technical issues during assembly. Material & Resource Coordination: Coordinate with stores to ensure availability of components and materials. Reduce material wastage through controlled usage and process improvements. Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and infrastructure. Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure panels are manufactured as per drawings, wiring schedules, and quality standards. Support quality inspections and testing (e.g., megger, HV test, continuity). Enforce adherence to workplace safety protocols and 5S practices. Qualifications and Skills: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. 1–4 years of experience in panel manufacturing or switchgear assembly. Good knowledge of panel components (breakers, relays, contactors, meters, etc.). Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams. Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills. Familiarity with ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
