Product Owner

Job Description – Product Owner (Medical Devices Domain) Position: Product Owner Experience: 8+ years Domain: Software/Hardware Development (Medical Devices preferred) Role & Responsibilities Collaborate with Product Management to create and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with product strategy and maximum business value. Define, refine, and prioritize user stories, providing backlog management and iteration planning support to the Scrum team. Work closely with cross-functional Scrum teams and stakeholders including UX design, test engineering, and system engineering. Ensure the Scrum team always has an adequate pipeline of prepared work items. Perform requirements analysis and develop detailed system functional specifications. Provide expertise in Requirements Engineering and Risk Engineering, with a strong focus on medical device hardware. Oversee, monitor, and support feature development across all testing phases (system integration, verification, validation). Partner with stakeholders to identify, assess, and analyze product risks, providing risk evaluation support. Conduct verification testing of requirements during sprints and integration testing phases. Participate in Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and coordinate change requests and defect reports. Drive innovation by generating novel product ideas and pursuing patent opportunities, considering feasibility and business impact. Contribute effectively as an individual contributor while collaborating within cross-functional teams. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in product or project development (software or hardware, preferably in medical devices). Strong understanding of Agile principles and processes with proven experience in backlog management and user story development. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to engage, influence, and align cross-functional partners. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with experience in risk evaluation and mitigation. Knowledge of Healthcare IT Standards such as HL7 and DICOM.
