Role Overview

As a Product Manager 1 – New Categories at Zepto, you’ll help build and scale new shopping experiences for emerging verticals such as Fashion, Electronics, Beauty, Home, Café, Pharmacy, and more.

You’ll work closely with senior PMs, design, engineering, analytics, and category teams to ideate, validate, and ship customer-facing experiences that improve discovery, trust, and conversion—while keeping Zepto’s speed promise intact

This is a high-ownership execution role with real customer impact, ideal for someone who wants to learn how new categories are built from first principles in a fast-moving environment


What You Will do

  • Develop a deep understanding of New Categories customers on Zepto (Fashion, Electronics, Beauty, Café, Pharmacy, etc.) through customer interviews, usability testing, funnel analysis, and competitive benchmarking to identify gaps in discovery, trust, and decision-making.
  • Break down ambiguous customer and business problems into clear, well-scoped product problems, and prioritize what to solve now vs later based on user impact, business value, and execution feasibility.
  • Partner with Design and Engineering to explore multiple solution approaches and validate ideas through MVPs, prototypes, and A/B experiments, iterating quickly using data and customer feedback.
  • Define clear product requirements, user flows, and acceptance criteria, and work cross-functionally with engineering, design, analytics, category, and operations teams to deliver features end-to-end.
  • Support go-to-market planning and execution in partnership with category, marketing, and operations teams, ensuring launches are smooth, well-communicated, and measurable.
  • Define and track core product metrics such as CTR, ATC, CVR, AOV, frequency, and repeat usage, identify funnel drop-offs, and drive action plans to move metrics in the right direction.
  • Own and execute clearly scoped parts of the New Categories product roadmap, maintaining a 3-month forward-looking view of key customer and business problems to be solved.



What We’re Looking

  • For1–2 years of experience in product management (consumer space is preferred
  • Strong product intuition and user-first thinking
  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear product solutions
  • Comfort working with data, dashboards, or funnel analysis is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication (you can explain why, not just what
