Product Manager - Digital Payments & Gateway Solutions

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product strategy and roadmap for payment solutions aligned with business goals.
• Lead design, development, and deployment of payment features including gateway and processor integrations.
• Optimize transaction flows to improve conversion, reduce failures, and minimize costs.
• Ensure support for global payment methods and multi-currency processing.
• Collaborate with engineering to define requirements and manage delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with finance, legal, and compliance teams to meet regulatory standards (PCI-DSS, PSD2).
• Partner with marketing and sales to drive adoption of new payment features.
• Monitor and enhance user experience across payment touchpoints (checkout, refunds, subscriptions).
• Use data insights to improve authorization rates and reduce chargebacks/fraud.
• Conduct A/B testing and analyze user feedback for continuous product improvement.
• Stay updated on payment industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Evaluate new payment partnerships and innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with global regulations and implement advanced security features.
  

Required Skills / Must-Have

• Technical Skills: Payment gateways, API integrations, payment processing platforms.
• Experience: 6–10 years in Product Management within Payments, FinTech, or eCommerce.
• Domain Knowledge: Payment ecosystem (processors, acquiring/issuing banks), global payment methods.
• Regulatory Knowledge: PCI-DSS, PSD2, SCA, GDPR.
• Analytical Skills: Data-driven decision-making, transaction optimization, cost reduction.
• Tools: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics (or equivalent).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, project delivery.
  

Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills

• Experience with global payment systems across multiple currencies/jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with blockchain, cryptocurrency, or real-time payments.
• Exposure to fraud detection and risk management tools.
  

Education & Qualifications

• Primary: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science (preferred).
• Secondary: MBA or equivalent with relevant product management experience.
  

Certifications / Licenses

• Preferred: Product Management Certification, PCI-DSS Compliance Training.
