Product Manager - Myntra Data Platform (MDP)
About the Team: Myntra's product management team builds technology products that empower our customers' shopping experience and enable the smooth flow of products from suppliers to our customers' doorsteps. The Myntra Data Platform (MDP) acts as the central nervous system of our fashion ecosystem. We operate at a massive scale, ingesting over 25 Billion+ events per day, managing 16 PB of data, and serving over 200K+ big data queries daily.Our vision is bold: "To embed data and intelligence into the core of Myntra, powering data-driven decisions and hyper-personalized customer experiences at every touchpoint". We are currently undertaking a massive transformation from traditional analytics to Agentic Analytics—a future where autonomous agents proactively uncover insights and guide strategic decisions.About the Role: We are looking for a visionary Product Manager to lead critical charters within the Myntra Data Platform. You will have the opportunity to shape our strategy, rebuild trust in data, and drive the execution of our ambitious plan towards a Governed Data Lakehouse.You will work with the Tech teams that build platforms that power everything from our core data infrastructure to our world-class Personalization & AI Engine, as well as self-serve tools like Morpheus (Experimentation) and Personify (Segmentation). This is a pivotal moment for MDP, and you will play a key role in enabling the "Agentic Future" by building the foundational Semantic Layer and Core Data Model.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define and drive the product roadmap for the Core Data Platform, transitioning from reactive analytics to proactive, autonomous "Agentic Analytics". You will align this vision with Myntra’s broader goal of being the most innovative fashion-tech leader.
- Data Governance & Trust: Spearhead the "Data as a Product" philosophy. You will solve the challenge of data proliferation by implementing a Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and a Tiered Governance Framework to ensure a single source of truth.
- Platform Modernization: Drive initiatives to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and improve platform reliability. This includes overseeing the rationalization of data aggregates, implementing aggressive lifecycle policies, and optimizing the Serving Layer.
- Self-Serve Empowerment: Build and scale tools that democratize data access.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with diverse stakeholders including Analytics, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering to gather requirements and ensure the platform solves real business problems.
- Semantic Layer Definition: Lead the creation of a "Semantic Layer" that bridges physical data tables and business concepts, enabling AI agents to reason, plan, and execute workflows without hallucination.
Desired Skills And Requirements
- Experience: Total experience of at least 5+ years, with 3-6 years of Product Management experience, ideally in Data Platforms, Big Data, AI/ML, or E-commerce.
- Education: BE/B.Tech from premier schools. MBA is a plus.
- Technical Fluency: Ability to work with large quantities of data and possess the business skills to leverage analytics for decision-making. Familiarity with concepts like Data Lakes, SQL, Vector DBs, and LLMs is highly desirable.
- Strategic Thinking: Must be an innovative, strategic thinker capable of balancing short-term fixes (e.g., query stability) with long-term vision (e.g., Agentic AI).
- Communication & Influence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to partner with stakeholders with influence and credibility, driving data ownership across business domains.
- Execution: Proven ability to organize, manage, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience creating PRDs, managing backlogs (JIRA), and working in Agile models is essential.
- Data-Driven: You don't just build data products; you use them. You should be capable of defining metrics and owning targets that align with organizational goals.
