Procurement Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy Development:

· Review Purchase Requisitions and float RFQ as per plan received from planning team

· Ensure timely delivery of material (OTIF), diligence in follow-ups with suppliers, ensure timely payments, vendor reconciliations etc.

· Strategy/ evaluating sourcing of all components from local and overseeing materials

· Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

· Analyze market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities in the raw materials market.

· Managing the team, Continuous improvement, Working with cross functional team

Supplier Management:

· Visit,Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.

· Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Cost Management:

· Manage the procurement budget for raw materials and ensure compliance with financial targets.

· Implement cost-saving initiatives and continuously seek opportunities to reduce procurement costs.

Quality Assurance:

· Ensure that all raw materials procured meet the required quality standards and specifications in co-ordination with the Quality Department

· Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Inventory Management:

· Work closely with the Inventory Management team to ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials.

· Implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage and reduce excess stock.

Compliance and Risk Management:

· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

· Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

· Graduate/Diploma in Engineering. Additional specialize in sourcing will be advantage.

· Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on raw materials.

· Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and strategies.

· Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

· Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and build strong partnerships.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Industry

· Industrial safety, Electrical Manufacturing, switch and control gear manufacturing.
