Job Description for Technical Lead – Procurement (Infrastructure) Procurement Strategy Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient sourcing strategies with an ‘Out of the box’ approach and new initiatives. Vendor Management Identify and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms. Technica Execution Collaborating with the Project Managers and Consultants in evaluation of drawings and specifications for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and the Detailed Design Phase of a project. Conducting independent technical evaluation of RFP’s including critical evaluation of Design, Specifications and BOQ for Infrastructure packages Interfaces with Architects, Project Management Consultants, Project Managers, works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams. Change request management and conducting site visits for effective project timelines and deliverables. Cost Management Monitor and control procurement budgets. Benchmarking and comparison of Cost estimates submitted by external agencies ( Architect, PMC, Engineer, Cost Consultant) with the internal estimates of Organization. - Optimize costs through effective commercial negotiations and procurement practices. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations. Mitigate procurement risks and maintain high standards of integrity and ethics. Reporting and Analysis Prepare and present procurement reports and analysis to senior management. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement performance and efficiency. Demonstrates Excellent oral and written communication skills, Effective interpersonal skills. Education, Experience Bachelor/Master degree in engineering from an accredited institution. 10 to 15 years of experience in Engineering Procurement and Construction. Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems and site requirement. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite is required.
