Procurement Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors for construction and industrial engineering projects.
• Negotiate purchase terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Visit project sites periodically to inspect received materials, verify physical stock, and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
• Monitor and reconcile material movement between stores, vendors, and project locations.
• Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to forecast material requirements and prevent shortages.
• Maintain procurement documentation, supplier evaluation records, and stock tracking data.
• Ensure timely delivery of critical materials in coordination with logistics and planning teams.
• Participate in vendor audits, performance evaluation, and quality verification visits.
• Support Head Office in procurement budgeting, reporting, and process optimization.
• Comply with company quality standards, safety norms, and procurement procedures.

Lamos Technology Solutions Private Limited is seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to handle material procurement, vendor coordination, and inventory management across multiple project sites in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The candidate should possess a technical background and prior experience in the construction or industrial engineering field. This position involves frequent travel for field verification, stock inspection, and site coordination activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma /B tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the construction, EPC, or industrial project sector.
• Experience in site-based material verification and supplier audits preferred.
• Excellent negotiation, documentation, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP-based purchase systems.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, technical specifications, and vendor processes.
• Willingness to travel frequently across project sites within South India.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
