Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer (IC4) to join the OCI Security team, focusing on the development of Security products and services. As a technical leader, you will design, build, and operate large-scale, distributed security systems that protect Oracle’s cloud customers.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver advanced cloud security solutions with high reliability and performance at cloud scale.
- Collaborate closely with product management, architects, and other engineering teams to define security product requirements and deliver secure, scalable, and robust solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, drive architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers across the team.
- Build and maintain automation for deployment, monitoring, and management of security services.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, ensuring high availability of critical security infrastructure.
- Conduct code reviews, contribute to improving engineering processes, and foster best practices in security, reliability, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture, and security.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Go, Python, or C/C++.
- Demonstrated experience working with cloud security products (WAF, DDoS protection, IDS/IPS, or similar).
- Experience with CI/CD, system automation, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and secure software development best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
