As a Principal Citrix Virtual Apps Engineer, you will be responsible for the setup, configuration, administration, and optimization of our Citrix Virtual Apps infrastructure. Your role will involve advanced troubleshooting and support, ensuring the seamless delivery of virtual applications to our end-users. This role demands a deep understanding of Citrix technologies, including Citrix Cloud Connectors, Citrix NetScaler (VDC), Citrix StoreFront, and Citrix VDAs (TS), along with exceptional problem-solving skills and outstanding customer service. Responsibilities: 1. Citrix Virtual Apps and DaaS Management: Design, implement, and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments, as well as DaaS including setup, configuration, and ongoing administration. Optimize performance and scalability to meet organizational needs. Manage and troubleshoot infrastructure components, including Citrix Delivery Controllers, Citrix StoreFront, Citrix Cloud Connectors, Citrix NetScaler (ADC), ADM, and Citrix VDAs (TS). Technical Expertise: Conduct in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops issues, including connectivity problems, application failures, and performance bottlenecks. Implement best practices for Citrix Virtual Apps and management. Configure and troubleshoot Citrix NetScaler (ADC) for load balancing and secure access. Ensure effective operation of Citrix StoreFront for application delivery and user access. Hands on experience with ADM for bulk management of Netscalers. Administer and troubleshoot Citrix VDAs (TS) to ensure consistent application performance. Experience in dealing with complex nFactor flows for authentication design and other advanced features of Netscaler (AAA, AppExpert, Gateway, SSL/cert lifecycle management, Load Balancing etc) Good knowledge of automating repeated tasks using Powershell scripts, Ansible and Git. Customer Support and Service: Provide advanced support and resolution for end-user issues related to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure integration and compatibility with other systems and applications. Develop and maintain documentation for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops configurations, processes, and procedures. Project Management: Lead and participate in Citrix Virtual Apps projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new deployments. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance the Citrix environment. About you: Basic Qualifications: 7-10+ years of experience in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops/Virtualization environments, with a strong background in setup, configuration, administration, and optimization. 7-10+ years of experience in troubleshooting complex Citrix Virtual Apps issues and providing high-level customer support. Proven track record of managing large-scale Citrix Virtual Apps deployments and projects. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proficiency in Citrix Cloud Connectors, Citrix NetScaler (ADC), Citrix StoreFront, and Citrix VDAs (TS). Strong understanding of related technologies, such as Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, and SQL Server. Proficient in networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, and load balancing. Decent understanding of Ansible would be a "good to have". Preferred Qualifications Advanced certifications (e.g., Citrix Certified Expert – Virtualization) Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
