The candidate will have the opportunity to work with the skilled and highly motivated Oracle Analytics Service Excellence (OASE) team, embracing an agile work style. You will be an integral part of a software development team within the greater OAC organization, supporting existing features in the cloud and implementing new operational processes, automation, and content. Your role will be crucial in enhancing the processes that support OAC services, enabling the service to function more autonomously over time. Key responsibilities for the role include performing DevOps activities to support customers, engineers, and processes throughout release cycles and production, participating in a 24x7 support model for Oracle Analytics services, responding to incidents, troubleshooting issues, and driving them to resolution. Additionally, you will be expected to become an expert in Analytic services, document processes and runbooks, deliver patches and hotfixes, collaborate with various teams to resolve service failures, monitor metrics, improve CI and CD tools, and follow established best practices and procedures. The ideal candidate should hold a BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent and possess a strong understanding of cloud networking, infrastructure, and service support. Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration, cloud service development and operation, Python, Ansible, and troubleshooting complex technical problems is highly desirable. Effective communication and collaboration skills, experience working with global teams, and the ability to work independently are key requirements for this role. Flexibility to work extended shifts and weekends as needed is also essential. An ideal candidate would have expertise in Oracle Analytics server, BI Publisher, Oracle Analytics, and at least 5 years of experience in running large-scale customer-facing web applications. Additionally, knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms, programming languages, CI/CD tools, containerization, orchestration, databases, REST API design, and issue tracking tools will be beneficial for the role.
