Role Description

This role will form part of the T&S [Trading & Supply] Platform Squad under T&S SOM.This is a group of interdisciplinary professionals forming an integrated team ensuring the success of T&S business service level objectives in Cloud, Data and Integration.

Responsibilities

Platform Lifecycle Ownership:

You are the "Product Owner" for the Trading Infrastructure. You define the roadmap for OS patching, Endure version upgrades, and hardware refreshes, ensuring zero impact on trading hours.

Capacity & Cost Strategy:

Proactively manage the "Check book." Utilize Azure Advisor and Cost Management to optimize spend (Reserved Instances, Spot for Grid) while guaranteeing capacity for market volatility events.

Stakeholder Liaison:

Act as the primary technical bridge between the Trading Desk, Risk Managers, and the ET Azure Team. Translate "the system is slow" into technical metrics and resolution plans.

Azure Infrastructure (IaaS):

Maintain deep expertise in managing VM Scale Sets, Citrix, and Ultra Disk Storage/NetApp Files for high-performance databases.

Networking & Connectivity:

Manage ExpressRoute, vWAN, and NSGs to ensure low-latency connectivity to market data feeds and exchanges.

Automation (IaC):

Eliminate manual ops. Write and maintain Terraform scripts for environment provisioning and configuration management (Ansible/Chef).

Security & Compliance:

Enforce Azure Policy, Vulnerability Management, RBAC, and PIM (Privileged Identity Management) to meet strict trading compliance standards.

Must-Have

Required Skills:

• 8+ years in Cloud Infrastructure, with 4+ years dedicated to Azure IaaS for critical/financial workloads.
• Deep knowledge of Grid Computing patterns (HPC Cache, Batch, Grid Server), Citrix, Observability (Dynatrace/Grafana), SSO, WAF.
• Highly Desirable: Experience hosting OpenLink Endure, Allegro, or similar ETRM systems.
• Technical Stack: PowerShell/Python, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics (KQL), Azure NetApp Files, AVD/Citrix
