Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations based on business requirements.
Connect Power BI to Amazon Aurora databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) for real-time or scheduled data refreshes.
Optimize complex SQL queries for performance in Aurora and ensure efficient data retrieval.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
Create and manage data models and DAX measures in Power BI.
Implement data security (RLS) and ensure compliance with governance standards.
Troubleshoot data issues and support ad-hoc data requests.
Schedule report refreshes and manage Power BI service workspace and app deployment.

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Data Modeling).
Strong experience working with Amazon Aurora (MySQL or PostgreSQL), including complex SQL writing and optimization.
Proficiency in Power BI Service – workspaces, datasets, scheduled refreshes, and access control.
Experience integrating multiple data sources (Excel, APIs, cloud databases).
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and reporting best practices.
Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
