Power BI DEVELOPER (D365 F&O + Azure Data Lake)

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and deploy advanced BI solutions. The role involves integrating Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, implementing semantic models (cubes), and delivering high-performance Power BI dashboards aligned to business KPIs.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, cubes, and Power BI deployment within D365, with a proven ability to translate functional requirements from business stakeholders into technical BI deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Integration & Modeling
• Connect and configure D365 F&O Export to Data Lake for transactional and master data.
• Develop scalable data models optimized for cube processing and Power BI consumption.
• Ensure proper star-schema design with fact and dimension tables.
• Report Development
• Build interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards covering Sales, Budget vs Actual, Scrap %, Regional performance, and Management KPIs.
• Implement DAX measures for time intelligence (MTD, YTD, YOY), ratios, and exception-based analytics.
• Enable role-based views (regional managers, sales reps, production heads).
• Cubes & Semantic Layer
• Design and optimize Power BI semantic models for large data volumes.
• Ensure efficient cube refresh schedules and query performance tuning.
• Manage row-level security (RLS) for restricted user access.
• Deployment & Integration
• Embed Power BI dashboards within D365 F&O as homepage/workspace reports.
• Configure governance policies for workspace, dataset refresh, and sharing.
• Ensure compliance with Power BI Premium licensing and Azure cost optimization.
• Support & Handover
• Conduct UAT sessions with client stakeholders.
• Provide 1-week post-production warranty support with bug fixes and validation.
• Document solutions and hand over to client IT/BI teams for ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in BI development, preferably with D365 F&O and Power BI integration.
• Strong command of:
• Power BI (Desktop, Service, Premium, RLS)
• DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
• SQL & Data Modeling (star schema, cubes)
• Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
• Experience with embedding BI reports in ERP/CRM systems (preferably D365).
• Knowledge of licensing options (Power BI Pro, Premium Per User, Premium Capacity).
• Excellent communication skills to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with D365, Azure Synapse Analytics or Databricks for advanced modeling.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (ADF, SSIS).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
• Prior experience in manufacturing/production industry BI projects.
