Control Systems & Automation Engineer
to join our technical team. This role is designed for a "hands-on" professional who thrives in both the development environment and the rigorous conditions of industrial sites. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of industrial control systems, from initial software development and database design to on-site commissioning and client handover.Core Responsibilities
- PLC/SCADA Development & Programming The heart of this role involves the execution of sophisticated PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) programming. You will develop software tailored for diverse industrial applications, ensuring logic is robust, efficient, and scalable.
- Site-Level Execution & Commissioning You will lead site-level projects, transitioning designs from the office to the field. This includes:
- Overseeing physical installation and terminations.
- Managing cable laying and loop testing to ensure signal integrity.
- Conducting comprehensive commissioning and real-time troubleshooting to resolve hardware and software conflicts.
- Site Management & Coordination Beyond technical tasks, you will act as a pivotal point of coordination on-site. You will manage contractors, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and maintain clear communication between project teams and the client.
- Testing & Quality Assurance You will play a lead role in formal validation processes, including:
- FAT (Factory Acceptance Test): Verifying system performance before shipment.
- SAT (Site Acceptance Test): Ensuring the system operates correctly within the client's infrastructure.
- ITP (Inspection & Test Plan): Maintaining rigorous documentation to meet quality standards.
- Data Management & Analytics A key differentiator for this role is the development of backend databases. You will design and document systems capable of handling time-series data, which is critical for industrial analysis, performance reporting, and predictive maintenance.
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate "hardcore" hands-on technical capability combined with professional polish.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in industrial automation.
- Technical Mastery: Mandatory expertise in PLC and SCADA systems. You should be comfortable navigating different platforms and troubleshooting complex logic.
- Site Exposure: Proven experience working directly on-site. You must be resilient and capable of managing the physical and logistical challenges of industrial environments.
- Communication & Presence: As a client-facing representative, you must possess a presentable personality and high confidence. Proficiency in English is essential for technical reporting and client interactions.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Education: A Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related engineering field.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose root causes in high-pressure situations.
- Autonomy: While you will work within a team, the ability to work independently and take ownership of site activities is vital.
- Reliability: A commitment to meeting project timelines and maintaining strict quality standards.
Ideal candidate is a technical graduate / engineer with experience in PLC / SCADA from any reputed designing software and must have experience in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of the software design, with experience in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and ITP (Inspection & Test Plan) activities.
